Daily Mail Group & Trust plc (DMGT)

We were engaged by our friends at JAC Project Management to provide Move Management and Building clearance services to DMGT in Kensington High Street.

Leaving their iconic Northcliffe House temporarily after many years, to allow its redevelopment, our role included all the planning and delivery of staff and desktop technology moves; to be followed by the clearance of the building by lease end to allow the redevelopment to start.

DMGT comprises the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Metro and New Scientist magazine to name just a few of their stable of publications, all of which continued normal publication during the move period.

Our initial move period of 8 weeks was reduced to 8 days, due to issues with the fitout of the temporary space that we were moving them to.

“We originally asked Stone Ticket to put together a programme to move 1,300 people and clear 250,000 sq. ft of our old building over an 8-weeks period. Running up to the start date we informed them this now had to be completed in just 8-days.

Their professionalism and ability to pull on the resource needed to make this happen was very impressive. During the 8 days we made a number of changes to the move sequence, on each occasion they came up with a solution and delivered.”

Simultaneously clearing the building of rubbish and redundant furniture whist also moving the client teams – including most existing furniture for reuse, sequencing and timings were big considerations in the planning and delivery of the brief.

We are pleased to say that the move was very successful and the client very happy with the way the move was delivered.
