Coll Villa was formed in 1975 and has 28 teams for the 2023/24 season, catering to in excess of 250 children who represent the club in the Colchester & District Youth Football League. The club also boasts an extracurricular programme for players without teams that has placed over 300 players within the club.

Colchester Villa teams of the past have made use of the twin town relationships of Avignon and Wetzlar to offer international football tournaments to its players.

Some Villa alumni have progressed into professional football notably Jamie Donley the English number 10 who had just made his breakthrough into the Tottenham Hotspur first team.

So far this season, the team have won 5 out of 5 League matches, scoring an impressive 42 goals!
